American pop star Justin Timberlake has been arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
The 43-year-old has spent the night behind bars after being charged with drink-driving in New York State.
The singer was pulled over after leaving a restaurant in the Hamptons, with the “Sexy Back” hitmaker allegedly telling officers he only had one martini.
However, police allege he was spotted driving through a stop sign and swerving onto the wrong side of the road.
They also allege he had “bloodshot eyes and a strong scent of alcohol on his breath” when he was pulled over and refused to undergo a roadside breath test.
Timberlake was released late on Tuesday morning following a brief court appearance.
He’s due to front court again in late July on one count of driving while intoxicated.
