Cristiano Ronaldo and partner Georgina Rodríguez have announced the tragic death of one of their newborn twins.
The Manchester United star confirmed the sad news in a post on social media a short time ago.
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,” the statement read.
“It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.”
The 37-year-old continued by thanking the doctors and nurses who tried to save his son’s life.
“We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time,” Ronaldo said.
“Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
