Police have launched a public appeal for information as they continue to hunt those responsible for a suspicious fire that destroyed a charity building in the Tweed.
The massive blaze erupted at a warehouse along Parkside Drive in Tweed Heads South just before 8pm on October 17, 2023.
More than 40 firefighters from both Qld and NSW were needed to douse the flames, which completely destroyed the business and storage shed facility.
A woman had been working inside the building at the time, but thankfully managed to escape before the blaze took hold.
A crime scene was declared, with officers immediately launching an investigation into the suspicious inferno.
As part of inquiries, detectives have today released CCTV footage of a man and a vehicle seen in the area at the time of the fire.
The man was wearing a white jumper with dark shorts and white shoes, while the vehicle is a white hatchback.
“Police believe the man and any accompanying person/s in the vehicle might be able to assist officers with their investigation,” NSW police said.
