A major investigation is underway following a frightening abduction attempt in Tweed Heads.
A 27-year-old woman was coming off her shift at a mattress factory around midday on Saturday when she was allegedly approached by a man.
It’s alleged the unknown man then tried to force the woman into the back of a car, but she managed to break free.
The woman ran back into the store, where she locked herself inside before calling police for help.
Tweed-Byron Detectives are now going through CCTV as they attempt to track down the person responsible.
