A woman has died and a second person has been seriously injured after a horror crash in the Tweed.
Two cars collided on Tweed Valley Way in Dunbible, south of Murwillumbah around 2.30pm on Monday.
A female occupant of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman in her 30s who was behind the wheel of the second vehicle was treated on the scene by paramedics.
She was later flown to Lismore Base Hospital in a serious condition.
Investigations into the crash are continuing.
