A woman has been fined for allegedly hurling an egg at the Queensland Premier.
The chaotic scenes unfolded during the annual Labour Day march in Brisbane on Monday, with the egg just missing Steven Miles as he marched alongside his daughter.
The woman, believed to be a pro-palestine protestor, was quickly detained by police at the scene.
“The woman allegedly attempted to interfere with the march, with officers attempting to move her on peacefully,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“She failed to comply with police direction and was subsequently arrested.”
The 25-year-old has since been issued with a fine of almost $1400.
