Two Gold Coast Titans stars have earned a call-up into the Prime Minister’s XIII squad.
Young gun Alofiana Khan-Pereira has scored a debut after his massive rookie year in the NRL, which saw him score 20 tries across just 23 games for the Titans.
The 21-year-old joins Titans skipper Tino Fa’asuamaleaui in the 19-man squad, which will play Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby next Saturday.
The clash will serve as somewhat of an audition and selection guide for the first ever Pacific Championships in October and November.
“This squad is a blend of experience from the World Cup last year, additional State of Origin players from this year, as well as younger players who we would like to see at this level,” coach Mal Meninga said.
“There was fairly unanimous agreement across the selections and I can’t wait to see this group test themselves in the green and gold”.
