The Titans have suffered another injury blow ahead of this weekend’s Queensland derby against the Dolphins.

Star hooker Sam Verrills has been ruled out of the Saturday showdown with a hip strain which forced him from the field in the 76th minute of the Titans win over the Roosters.

While scans have confirmed it’s only a minor injury, it means Chris Randall will now start at hooker in his place.

The shift has paved the way for Gold Coast newcomer Sean Mullany to finally make his NRL debut off the bench in front of a home crowd at Cbus Super Stadium.

It’ll be a dream come true for the 25-year-old, who has played 60 games in the Hostplus Cup, joining the Gold Coast on a train-and-trial at the start of the 2025 pre-season.

In some more good news, the Titans will also be boosted by the return of prop Jaimin Jolliffe after he missed the last two weeks with a calf injury.

The remainder of the team remains unchanged as they aim to notch up three wins on the trot following back-to-back victories against the Knights and Roosters.
