A man and woman have suffered a horrific ordeal in Brisbane during an alleged attempted carjacking.
An 18-year-old man is accused of jumping into a Subaru Forester parked in a Sunnybank shopping centre carpark around 8.30pm on Wednesday night before starting the car.
The driver, a 23-year-old Inala woman who was not inside the vehicle at the time, attempted to stop him from driving away when he allegedly slammed her hand in the car door.
A 39-year-old man ran over to help the woman before the Subaru Forester allegedly reversed and smashed into him.

Members of the public then performed a citizen’s arrest, detaining the boy before police could arrive to arrest him.
He’s been charged with one count each of armed robbery, unlawful use of motor vehicle, dangerous operation of motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm and driving unlicenced.
He is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates court today, June 8.
