A woman has died and two officers injured after an alleged stabbing sparked a dramatic car chase north of Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to a unit complex on Short St in Caboolture around 8.30pm on Wednesday night following reports a woman had been injured.
A woman in her 20s was found with stab wounds and rushed to Caboolture Hospital in a critical condition where she later died.
Police later came across a vehicle of interest and tracked it around several suburbs before it entered the Bruce Highway.
Officers pursued the Holden Commodore along the highway towards the Sunshine Coast before tyre spikes were deployed.
The vehicle kept driving before allegedly crashing into a Police vehicle on the Bruce Highway at Yandina.
A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene before being taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital under Police guard.
Two officers suffered minor injuries and were also transported to hospital for treatment.
Police will allege the man and the deceased woman were known to each other and are treating her death as a homicide.
A crime scene remains in place at the unit.
