It appears Winter is well and truly on its way out, with a wave of unusually warm weather set to sweep across large parts of the country from today.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting “above average” temperatures for central Australia today before the hot conditions move south on Friday.
The East Coast is expected to bear the brunt of the heatwave over the weekend, giving us an early taste of Spring.
Brisbane is heading for a Sunny top of 29 degrees on Sunday before heating up to 30C on Monday and a warm 31C on Wednesday.
Nothing but sunshine is also on the cards for the Gold Coast, with temperatures across the coastal city to average around 29 degrees next week.
