Two teens have been charged with bashing an Uber driver with a hammer and stealing his car.
The 51-year-old man accepted a booking in Taringa early on Wednesday morning.
When he arrived at the pick-up spot, he was approached by a male who confirmed the booking and jumped in the car.
The man started assaulting the driver before two other males got into the vehicle and began hitting the driver with hammers.
The driver was forced out of his car before the three males fled in his vehicle.
The driver was later taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital suffering serious head injuries.
A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were arrested in Loganholme on Thursday.
They’ve both been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of deprivation of liberty, robbery in company and stealing.
They will front the Children’s Court on Friday.
Police are still searching for others who may have been involved in the attack.
The man’s Toyota Camry has since been recovered from Logan.
