A family in Logan has undergone a terrifying ordeal following an armed robbery.
Three men forced themselves into a home along Bryants Road in Loganhome around 9pm on Monday.
The offenders were armed with a shotgun and two knives, while two teenager girls, a woman and a man were all home at the time.
Several items and money were stolen before the men fled the scene.
While leaving, the shotgun discharged into a door.
The occupants, a 72-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman, a 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl, were not physically injured in the invasion.
A crime scene was declared and investigations are underway.
Police are appealing to anyone who lives on Bryants Road and who may have heard a loud disturbance at that time, to contact them.
