Is it a bird, is it a plane? No it’s a KFC Zinger burger!

For the first time ever in Australia, residents and workers in Logan will be able to order KFC and have it flown straight to their door.

The popular fast-food chain has joined forces with drone delivery company ‘Wing’ to deliver burgers and other hot fried treats to homes and businesses in the Logan area.

“The people of Logan proposed, and we liked it so we put a Wing on it,” the drone company said.

From today, the drone delivery service will initially be servicing the suburbs of Kingston, Logan Central, Slacks Creek, Underwood and Woodridge.

But we are being told it hopefully won’t be too long until it’s expanded to other locations, pending the success of the pilot trial.

“You know the future truly is here when you can get hot, fresh Kentucky Fried Chicken delivered by a drone from the click of a few buttons,” KFC Australia chief marketing officer Kristi Woolrych said.

It’s understood some deliveries can take as little as 90 seconds, meaning you can have a piece of original fried chicken in just over a minute!

“In about the same amount of time it takes for chicken to crisp up and get its golden hue, Wing customers in Logan can now get their KFC faves delivered by drone,” Wing said.

Now, that’s what I call Finger clickin’ good!
