Three teenagers have been critically injured in a single-vehicle crash that erupted into flames west of Ipswich.

Two 15-year-old boys and a 17-year-old girl were travelling in a stolen Mazda CX-9 on a rural Brightview road around 6am on Tuesday morning.

The vehicle attempted to overtake a truck, before it struck a pole and burst into flames.

The trio have been rushed to hospital, with the two boys in critical condition suffering life-threatening injuries

It’s understood they sustained serious head and abdominal injuries, while the young girl is in a serious condition.

The Mazda involved had been stolen from a Clayfield address overnight.

Queensland Police remain at the scene of the crash investigating.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the sedan prior, to contact police.
