Two teenagers allegedly involved in a wild police chase across the South East yesterday have been hit with 30 charges between them.
The boys, both aged 16, are accused of leading officers on a chase in a stolen Mercedes Benz between Ipswich and Brisbane yesterday.
Police say the chopper tracked the vehicle, bearing false number plates, for several hours as it was allegedly driven at high speed.
Their escapes, which were allegedly live-streamed on social media, finally came to an end when they were arrested after being cornered in an underground car park at a shopping centre at Redbank.
A 16-year-old Redbank Plains boy has now been charged with five counts each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, stealing, and two counts of robbery in company.
He has also been hit with one charge each of receiving tainted property, unlawful enter of a vehicle, attempted robbery, assault occasioning bodily harm, armed robbery, driving unlicenced, burglary, enter premises, evade police.
The second teen, a 16-year-old Raceview boy, has been charged with three counts of burglary, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and one charge each of attempted enter with intent, stealing, possess dangerous drugs, possess knife in public place.
Both were denied police bail to face Richlands Childrens Court.
