Four teenagers have been arrested following a shooting incident in Tara on Queensland’s Western Downs.
Police were called to reports of shots fired in the regional town about 3.30pm, sparking an emergency declaration.
Several residents had to be evacuated as specialist police, PolAir and multiple crews from the region responded to the incident.
Following several hours, four teens aged 14, 15 and two aged 16, were found at a Tara property late on Wednesday and taken into custody.
Police say the local boys were arrested without incident.
No one was injured and the emergency declaration was revoked around 11.30pm.
The teens are currently assisting police with their investigations into reports of shots having been fired.
Tara is the town where the two police officers that were killed in an ambush at Wiembilla last month were based.
