Police have confirmed a teenage boy who was critically injured in an e-scooter incident in Logan last week has died from his injuries.
The 15-year-old was riding along the footpath at Basalt Drive, Yarrabilba last Tuesday morning when he came off the scooter and struck his head.
Bystanders were the first to provide first aid before paramedics rushed him to hospital with critical head injuries.
Queensland Police released a statement on Monday morning confirming the teen passed away at the Queensland Children’s Hospital on Sunday.
The Forensic Crash Unit and Child Protection and Investigation Unit are still investigating the incident and continue to appeal for anyone with information or relevant footage that could assist in the investigation to contact police
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
