A teenage boy, critically injured after a stolen car crashed west of Brisbane, has died in hospital.
The 13-year-old was among four teens in the vehicle when it rolled on the Warrego Highway at Oakey on Monday.
He was airlifted to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane but died on Tuesday.
A 14-year-old boy was also airlifted to hospital in Brisbane and remains in a critical condition.
Investigations into the crash are continuing but Police believe one of the critically injured teens was likely driving the car at the time.
Police have also charged a 14-year-old boy who was arrested at the scene of the crash on Monday.
He’s been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle, burglary and commit indictable offence, receiving tainted property and assault occasioning bodily harm.
The boy is due to front Toowoomba Children’s Court.
A fourth boy remains in Toowoomba Base Hospital.
