A 15-year-old boy is in a serious condition after an alleged stolen car ploughed into a concrete barrier in the Brisbane suburb of Murrarie early this morning.

Police say the vehicle, a grey Mercedes ute stolen from a home in Coolum on Saturday, slammed into a barrier near the Lytton Road exit of the Gateway Motorway around 3am.

Three teens were in the vehicle at the time, with one of the passengers, a 15-year-old, suffering serious injuries.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Two other boys, both aged 16, suffered non-life threatening injuries and were also taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision of the vehicle travelling south on the Gateway Motorway between 2.30am and 3am to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
