The family of a teenage girl who has been missing from Brisbane for more than six weeks is pleading for her to return home.
The 15-year-old went missing from a Lewis Street home on December 18, 2021 and has not been heard from since.
Serious concerns are being held for the teen’s welfare due to her age, with her Aunt fearing she may have been caught up with the wrong crowd before she disappeared.
“I believe she was picked up in a stolen car when she left my address six weeks ago,” the teen’s Aunt told Nine News.
“Whether they hurt themselves, or other people while they’re in these stolen cars, they don’t have any kind of sense of consequences or risk assessment at this young age”.
The teen is described as Caucasian, 160cm tall, with short brown hair with blonde streaks, brown eyes, an olive complexion and a slim build.
She was last seen wearing ripped black jeans, black top, green camouflage/black hoodie and white TN sneakers.
Both police and the girl’s family are urging the girl, or anyone who knows her whereabouts, to contact them.
“She’s always got a soft place to land with me and I will see her through any of the rocky roads that she’s got coming for her,” her Aunt said.
“But the world is her oyster and she just needs to come home so she can have a wonderful life”.
