Queensland’s case numbers have kept steady over the weekend with another 17,445 cases picked up overnight.
It’s a slight dip on yesterday’s number of 19,703 and 23,617 from the day before.
There are now over 200,000 active infections across the whole of the Sunshine State.
Sadly, there were three further deaths overnight, including a person in their 60s, someone in their 80 and someone aged 103 years-old.
Of the deaths, two had received just one dose of the vaccine while the third was double vaccinated.
“All of these individuals had significant, other medical conditions,” Chief Health Officer John Gerrard said in Sunday’s Covid-19 press conference.
“I use this opportunity to remind everyone of boosted vaccination.”
If you are due for your booster – don’t delay.
Now is the time to get it done.
Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones.
