Two Queensland Police officers have been hospitalised after their van was hit by another vehicle while en-route to a job in Brisbane.

The constables were travelling under lights and sirens around 10.00pm on Saturday when their van collided with a Toyota Prado at an intersection in Kelvin Grove.

Fortunately, both the male and female constables managed to escape serious injury.

However, they were taken to hospital as a precaution.

A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed the occupants in the other vehicle were also not physically injured.
