A Queensland man has died in hospital, two weeks after being struck in an allegedly deliberate hit and run at Withcott, west of Brisbane.

Police say the 33-year-old man was hit along Toowoomba Connection Road just after 3pm on Sunday, November 20.

He was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he sadly died from his injuries on Saturday.

A 46-year-old man has already been charged with one count of attempt to murder, two counts of endangering the safety of a person in a vehicle with intent, and one count of dangerous operation of motor vehicle.

However, Toowoomba detectives have confirmed they are now considering the “most appropriate course of action in relation to the victim’s death”.

The Holden Rodeo utility believed to have been involved in the hit and run remains outstanding.

Police are continuing to appeal for the owner of the vehicle, witnesses or anyone with dash cam vision to come forward.
