A 55-year-old man has been killed after a car smashed into his home west of Brisbane on Christmas evening.
The car ploughed through the Millmerran property around 9.30pm on Sunday night, fatally wounding the man.
The driver, a 30-year-old man, is accused of fleeing the scene on foot.
He was caught at an address a short distance away and is now assisting police with their inquiries.
Detectives and the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating to uncover the circumstances of the 55-year-olds death.
