Police are searching for a driver accused of running down an officer in a car west of the Gold Coast.
The male constable was conducting patrols around Allenview about 10.30pm on Friday when he spotted several vehicles on Kilmoylar Road and Undullah Road.
The officer then approached a man seen marshaling the cars with a traffic wand, but was hit by a grey Ford sedan.
Police said the officer fell onto the vehicle’s bonnet before falling off its side and onto the ground.
All vehicles then left the scene while the officer was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening leg injuries.
“Support services are being provided to the officer,” Qld Police said.
Investigations into locating the vehicle involved are ongoing
