An 18-year-old girl has escaped a terrifying ordeal following a suspected abduction attempt by a man in a black van in Beenleigh.
The young woman was walking along Teys Road between 8pm and 8.40pm on Tuesday night when she was approached by the vehicle.
A man then allegedly got out of the van and grabbed by her hoodie.
Thankfully, another car approached sparking the man to flee the scene.
An unknown woman who was driving past noticed the 18-year-old distressed on the side of the road, so stopped to offer assistance and drove her home.
“Police are seeking to speak to this woman to assist them with the investigation,” a QPS statement reads.
“Police are also seeking assistance to locate a black van that was observed in the area around the time of the incident,
“It is described as matte black in colour, with visible rust and other signs of deterioration,
“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or particularly anyone who may have dashcam vision or CCTV from Teys Road in Beenleigh or Wuraga Road in Holview between 8.10pm and 8.40pm on July 11, is asked to come forward.”
Investigations are continuing.
