One Queensland entry has taken out the entire $100 million Powerball jackpot.
The ticket was purchased in Brisbane and was the only division one winning entry.
The mystery winner has become the third-largest lottery winner in Australian history.
The winning ticket was purchased from a store in Brisbane’s northside and is unregistered, meaning the ticketholder remains a mystery and they might not even realise yet that they’re now a multi-millionaire.
The Lott is urging all Brisbane residents or visitors who purchased an entry in tonight’s Powerball draw to check their ticket and make contact to claim their prize.
While the winner may not be from the Gold Coast, The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart says locals should still go out and check their tickets.
“Even if you aren’t the division 1 winner we’re looking for do make sure you check your ticket,”
“Because we have more than 3 million wins in Division 2 to 9 worth more than $67 million.”
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1475 on Thursday 22 August 2024 were 16, 24, 11, 4, 10, 18 and 23. The all-important Powerball number was 6.
