Motorcyclist killed after colliding with car in Qld

A man has died following a hororr crash between a motorbike and car in far north Queensland overnight.

Police say the man was travelling along Mossman Mount Molloy Road around 7pm, when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car.

The motorcycle rider, a 51-year-old Mareeba man, suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

The driver of the car, a 65-year-old man, was uninjured and is assisting police.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam vision to come forward.
