A crime scene has been declared at a home north of Brisbane following a violent home invasion.
Occupants of the Strathpine property on Charlor Street were woken to find five people breaking in while armed with weapons at around 1.30am Saturday morning.
A verbal argument broke out, before the residents were allegedly threatened with what appeared to be a firearm.
The gang eventually fled the scene in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer.
They remain on the run with a police manhunt underway.
Police are appealing for anyone in the vicinity of Charlor Street who may have CCTV footage, or who may have seen the silver Mitsubishi with front end damage, to contact them.
Investigations are ongoing.
