Manhunt after food delivery driver assaulted, carjacked by trio

A manhunt is underway after a food delivery driver was robbed and carjacked in Moorooka overnight.

Police say the driver was making a delivery to an address in Goodwin Terrace when he was approached by three men who initially asked for money.

“Police will allege when the driver refused, he was assaulted before the men entered his car and drove from the scene towards Weir Street,” Queensland Police said.

The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by police.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the man’s red Toyota sedan in the area at the time, or who may have CCTV footage, to contact them.

Investigations are ongoing.
