A man has undergone surgery after being shot several times by Police in Brisbane, just four hours after officers opened fire on a man on the Gold Coast.
Police were called to a home in Liquidamber Place in Stretton around 7pm on Sunday night.
On arrival it’s alleged they were confronted by a man armed with a large bladed weapon.
Officers called for a Police negotiator to attend the scene.
However, the 43-year-old allegedly lunged at officers who fired an unknown number of shots.
The man was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A crime scene was established with the Ethical Standards Command investigating.
The incident was the second Police shooting on Sunday after a 29-year-old man was wounded by officers after he allegedly rushed at them with a knife at a home in Coomera
