A man has died following a plane crash in the state’s north.
The light plane was due to land in Ayr on Sunday morning but the alarm was raised when the aircraft did not arrive.
Emergency services began a search for the plan around 9.30am.
An aerial search located the aircraft in bushland near Shirbourne.
The pilot, who was the sole occupant, was found deceased at the scene.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
