A 40-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing another man in the neck with a syringe in Brisbane.
Police allege the man approached a 67-year-old man at his residence on Constitution Road in Windsor around 1.40pm on Monday, before an argument broke out.
The man is then accused of stabbing him in the neck with a syringe and continuing to chase him down with the needle.
Two off-duty police officers who were passing by and saw the commotion intervened.
The alleged attacker was arrested at the scene and a crime scene was declared.
The 67-year-old man was transported to Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
Police believe the two men are known to each other and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The 40-year-old man has been charged with one count of attempted murder and is due to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
