A man has been arrested after he was allegedly caught filming children on his mobile phone at a popular Queensland parkland.
Police allege they were called to the Wynnum foreshore parkland around 12.30pm on Sunday, after a member of the public saw the man covertly filming “very young” children whilst they were being changed by a caregiver in the male change rooms.
The 31-year-old man was taken into custody, with police uncovering 14 alleged child exploitation recordings from that day on his phone.
“Investigators believe the man did not upload or distribute any footage,” Queensland Police said.
He has since been charged with 14 counts of the possession and making of child exploitation material.
The man was denied bail and was due to appear in the Wynnum Magistrates Court yesterday.
