Major manhunt after 22yo stabbed to death in Qld park

Police are hunting an alleged killer after a young man was stabbed to death in a park south of Brisbane.

Emergency crews were called to a park along Mortimer Road in Acacia Ridge just after midnight on Sunday, where they found a 22-year-old suffering multiple stab wounds.

Despite desperate efforts by paramedics, the local man died at the scene.

Detectives believe the victim was known to his attacker, who fled the scene before police arrived and remains on the run.

A major homicide investigation is now underway, with police appealing for anyone with further information or relevant vision of the area around the time to come forward.
