A man has died after being shot by Police in the car park of a shopping centre in Logan.
Police were called to the centre on Chambers Flat Rd in Marsden just after 4.30 on Friday afternoon after reports a man had been threatening a number of businesses with a knife.
There are reports he had attempted to hold up the McDonald’s restaurant.
The man was approached by officers outside who tried to convince the man to give himself up and drop a knife he was carrying.
But he refused, reportedly lunging at officers with his knife.
The man was reportedly shot three times leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to Logan Hospital but died a short time later.
