The Queensland Premier has taken to social media to beg for privacy after being tracked down while holidaying in Europe.
Journalists found Annastacia Palaszczuk and her partner Reza Adib outside a hotel in Italy this week, hounding her with questions amid speculation of tensions within her own State Government.
It prompted the Premier to call out the behaviour on her personal Facebook page on Wednesday morning.
“I am on leave,” she wrote.
“Everyone is entitled to leave.
“I ask that the media respects my privacy.
“Steven Miles is Acting Premier… I return on September 11.”
It comes after the Opposition criticised the Premier by claiming she has “checked out of her job” following revelations she would have spent more days this year on holiday than sitting in State Parliament.
