A man has been charged over a horror fatal buggy crash on Hamilton Island that killed his new wife.
29-year-old Marina Hanna died after the golf buggy crashed and rolled while performing a U-turn in June this year.
The buggy was being driven by her new husband, 30-year-old Robbie Morgan.
The couple had been married for just ten days, and were on their honeymoon at the popular holiday destination.
The New South Wales bride suffered critical injuries and sadly died at the scene.
Her husband was not physically injured.
Following an extensive investigation, Mr Morgan has since been charged.
He faces a string of charges, including driving without due care and attention causing death, wearing of approved seatbelt by driver, wearing of approved seatbelt by passenger and using a mobile phone.
He’ll front Proserpine Magistrates Court on December 5.
