A search is underway to find a horse that was taken from a property in Logan in an early morning robbery.

The brown and white Clydesdale was allegedly stolen from the property on Queens Road in Kingston on January 6.

Detectives are investigating whether the Colt was walked down Loganlea Road, before being loaded onto a float.

Investigators believe the horse was taken sometime between 5am and 7am.

They are chasing a number of other leads, and urging anyone with information, or for anyone who may have witnessed the horse in the area to come forward.

Anyone who may have dashcam footage of a horse float on Loganlea Road on January 6 between 5am and 7am are also urged to contact police.
