A major investigation is underway into a hit-and-run involving a stolen car in Brisbane.

A silver Toyota Kluger was travelling north on the Pacific Motorway towards the Margaret Street off-ramp exit around 10.15pm on Monday, when it was hit from behind by a white Mazda 3.

The impact of the collision caused the Mazda to flip onto its roof, with the driver and three passengers immediately fleeing the scene before emergency crews arrived.

The driver of the Toyota thankfully escaped with minor injuries and declined transport to hospital.

It’s since been revealed the Mazda involved in the crash had been stolen from a home in West End on February 4.

Police are urging witnesses or anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam vision of the area around the time of the incident to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
