Crime scene declared as police probe suspicious Logan house fire

A manhunt is underway for an alleged firebug, accused of deliberately setting fire to a home in Logan Central.

The home went up in flames on Bindi Street around 11.35pm on Wednesday.

“Initial information indicates a residence on Bindi Street was deliberately set alight by unknown persons,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

No one was home at the time of the blaze, with detectives deeming the fire suspicious.

A crime scene has since been declared at the property, with a major investigation now underway.

Police are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
