A man remains in custody after forcing Queensland’s Crime and Corruption Commission building into lockdown.
Police swarmed the car park of the Saint Pauls Terrace building in Fortitude Valley around 4.20pm on Tuesday following reports of an armed man.
Officers were able to lock the building down and evacuate some areas whilst they began negotiations with the armed suspect.
The man eventually surrendered around 5.45pm and was taken into custody.
Police will allege the man was armed with a tomahawk, which was located in his backpack.
Detectives are now working to establish a motive.
Charges are yet to be laid, with investigations ongoing.
