LATEST @ 12.10PM | The urgent search for a missing newborn baby in Queensland has come to an end.
Police have confirmed the baby girl has been located safe and well in Ipswich shortly after 11am.
An 18-year-old woman, believed to be the mother, has also been located by police.
The pair had been subject to an earlier Amber Alert after the woman had discharged herself and the newborn from Ipswich Hospital on Monday.
Concerns were held for the baby due to her requiring further medical care.
Police would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.
EARLIER @ 6.45AM | A desperate search is underway to find a newborn baby taken from a Queensland Hospital.
Police fear the infant, who is just one-day-old, may be at “significant risk” with an Amber Alert issued.
The baby girl was snatched from Ipswich Hospital by two women on Monday and was last seen being placed into a white Suzuki Liana.
The vehicle has since been located, but the infant remains missing.
Police are now wanting to speak with an 18-year-old woman, who they believe is with the baby.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police immediately.
