A young child has died after reportedly being left in a car in soaring temperatures in Sydney’s southwest.
Emergency services were called to Railway Parade in Glenfield after the three-year-old was found unresponsive.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the child died at the scene.
Police say they have been told the child had been in the vehicle throughout the day despite temperatures hitting 33 degrees.
A man, who was known to the child, raised the alarm when he returned to the car.
A crime scene has been established as Police investigate the child’s death.
The man has been taken to Campbelltown Police station and is assisting Police.
