LATEST @ 4.35PM: A little boy has tragically died after being hit by a bus in Sydney’s south-west.
The 10-year-old suffered critical injuries when he was struck outside a school along Cobbitty Road, Cobbitty, just before 3pm (NSW time) today.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the boy at the scene before taking him to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
He sadly died a short time later.
The bus driver, a 60-year-old woman, has been taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing and is assisting police with their inquiries.
The Crash Investigation Unit has commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
