A NSW paramedic has been killed after being stabbed in Sydney’s south-west this morning.

The male paramedic was reportedly responding to an incident at McDonald’s in Campbelltown at around 5.30am, when he was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was rushed to Liverpool Hospital, where he has since tragically died.

A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he is currently assisting police with inquiries.

A crime scene has been established, which is being forensically examined by specialist officers.

Local detectives have commenced an investigation, with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
