There’s been an increase in COVID-19 cases in NSW today, with the state recording another 12,632 infections.
Sadly, the state’s death toll has also risen significantly, with a further 38 people with the virus passing away.
Of today’s new cases, 7,147 were from positive Rapid Antigen Tests, while 5,485 were from PCR test results.
There are now 2,578 people being treated for the virus in hospitals across the state, down from 2,622 on Wednesday.
160 of those are in Intensive Care, which is also down from 170 in ICU the day before.
In terms of the vaccination rate, 95.5 per cent of people in NSW aged 16 and above have now had at least one jab, while 94 per cent are fully vaccinated.
