EARLIER: Serious concerns are being held for an 11-year-old boy who has gone missing in Sydney’s northwest, where temperatures plummeted to just four degrees overnight.

The youngster was wearing his school uniform, consisting of a blue t-shirt with maroon and white trim and grey shorts, and red and black shoes.

NSW Police say he was spotted walking along Annangrove Road towards Rouse Hill about 4.45pm also wearing a black and white jacket and carrying a black backpack.

A major search involving PolAir, officers from Police Rescue, and 15 members of the SES was conducted overnight, but there has so far been no sign of the 11-year-old.

“Police hold concerns for Christopher’s welfare due to his young age, the fact that temperatures dropped to 4C overnight, and that he has no cash or food,”

“His disappearance is considered out of character.”

He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 120cm tall with a slim build, short brown hair and brown eyes.
