A truck driver died following a horrific M1 crash on the NSW’s far north coast.
The b-double crashed while taking the Saddle Road offramp at Brunswick Heads around 6am on Friday.
The truck burst into flames, trapping the driver in the truck cabin.
Two witnesses attempted to free the driver, however, he tragically could not be saved.
A crime scene has been established with one northbound lane of the Pacific Motorway expected to be closed for a number of hours.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
